Salary/Pay Scale :

1. Independent Member Rs. 35,000 – 40,000/-
2. Chairperson Rs. 40,000 – 50,000/-
   

Educational qualification :

1. Independent Member shall have experience working for at least ten (10)
   years on matters concerning consumer Grievances.
2. The Chairperson of the Forum shall be a retired senior judicial officer; or a retired civil servant not below the rank of a Collector; or a retired Principal of
   a reputed Engineering college; or a retired Professor of the Electrical
   Engineering Department of a reputed institute; or a retired senior electrical
   engineer of the Government; or a retired engineer from a Distribution Licensee not below the rank of Superintending Engineer or equivalent officer, and having at least twenty-five (25) years of experience, with adequate knowledge of the power sector.

Age Limit :

• Maximum age limit is 65 years.
• Age relaxation as per norms.
