West Bengal Police Recruitment 2024-Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed the 10th grade examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent recognized board.
West Bengal Police Recruitment 2024-Age Limit
Candidates should be aged between 18 and 30 years. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government regulations.
West Bengal Police Recruitment 2024-Selection Criteria
The selection of the candidates will be done based on the written exam followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and interview.
Written Exam: Candidates will undergo a written examination, which will be OMR-based and follow a multiple-choice question (MCQ) pattern. The duration of the exam will be one hour. The exam will consist of 85 objective-type questions, each carrying one mark. For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the total marks allocated to the question. Candidates who qualify in the written exam will proceed to the next stage of the selection process, the Physical Measurement Test.
Physical Measurement Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Physical Measurement Test, which is of a qualifying nature. The physical standards, including height and weight, will be assessed using Electronic Machines. Chest measurements will be taken using a measurement tape.
Physical Efficiency Test: The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is also of a qualifying nature. Candidates who qualify in this test will proceed to the interview stage.
Interview: During the interview round, candidates’ general awareness and suitability for public service will be assessed. Additionally, candidates’ proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Bengali/Nepali languages will be specifically evaluated.
Based on the marks obtained in the written test and interview, the recruitment board will prepare a merit list to determine the selection of candidates.
