AP SET 2024 Notification – Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
- Backward Classes (BC)/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
- Candidates who are currently pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course, candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and are awaiting results, or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.
- Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination was completed by 19th September 1991 are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.
- Candidates with a post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by an Indian University/Institute or a foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by a foreign University/Institute should verify the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with a Master’s degree from recognized Indian universities through the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiu.ac.in).
- There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for the test.
- Qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/colleges situated in Andhra Pradesh state where they have cleared their SET.
- Candidates who have previously qualified in APSET/UGC NET are not eligible to apply in the same subject they previously qualified for.
