Salary/Pay and Grade Pay – For income tax inspector post, the payable salary will be Rs 44,900 – 1,42,400, for stenographer, tax assistant posts, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 – 81,100 and for multitasking staff, canteen attendant posts, the payable salary will be Rs 18,000 – 56,900 per month. Selection Method – For recruitment in the Income Tax Department, the candidate will be selected on the basis of shortlisting, ground/ proficiency test and then a personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
