SSC JE 2024 Vacancy :

• The Staff Selection Commission has announced a total of 968 vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer across various departments of the Government of India.

SSC JE 2024 Eligibility :

• Candidates interested in applying for the post of Junior Engineer must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant stream from a recognized institution. The age of the candidate should be between 18 and 30 or 32 years, as per the post requirements.

SSC JE 2024 Exam Date :

• The exam date for the Junior Engineer post will be officially announced by the Staff Selection Commission. It is expected to be conducted in June or July 2024 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode with a duration of 120 minutes.

SSC JE Application Fee 2024 :

• The application fee for the Junior Engineer post is ₹100. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, or Economically Weaker Sections, as well as females, are exempt from paying the fee.

The selection process for the Junior Engineer post under various departments of the Government of India consists of two stages: Paper I and Paper II Computer Based Test.

Paper II Exam:

Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) OR Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) OR Part-B: General Engineering (Mechanical): 100 questions, 300 marks
Total Questions: 100
Maximum Marks: 300
Duration: 2 hours
Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Candidates who clear the Paper I Exam will be called for Paper II, and the final selection list will be prepared based on the combined performance in both papers.
